Graduate Students

Connor Burrows, B.S., M.A., PhD

Connor completed his PhD in Clinical Psychology at Rowan University in 2023 and he is currently a Post-Doc at the Medical University of South Carolina. Before graduating he did an internship in Gainesville, FL at the University of Florida Health Sciences. He also earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychological Science and his master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Rowan. His research interests included the application of behavioral economics and behavioral interventions to a variety of health concerns, such as smoking cessation and physical activity. Connor has clinical experience working in integrated health care settings including a general hospital and primary care office. His clinical interests include the application and integration of behavioral interventions into medical settings and the clinical applicability of behavioral economic measures.

Matthew Dwyer, M.S., M.A., PhD

Matt completed his PhD in Clinical Psychology at Rowan University in 2023. Before graduating, Matt did an internship in St. Louis, MO at the VA St. Louis Health Care System. He received a Master of Science degree in Clinical Behavioral Psychology from Eastern Michigan University, with coursework in both clinical psychology and applied behavior analysis. He received a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from Rowan University before completing his PhD. His research interests include using behavioral economics to study decision making in drug use.

Indu Madhuranthakam, M.S.

Indu Mithra Madhuranthakam is a 2nd year PhD student at Rowan University majoring in Pharmaceutical Chemistry. In addition to volunteering in the HABIT lab, Indu is working on her PhD in pre-clinical Behavioral Pharmacology and Neuroscience research under the mentorship of Drs. Martin Job and Tom Keck. She previously received her Bachelor’s degree in India and a Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences at Rowan University. Alongside her academic endeavors, Indu enjoys reading, writing, and painting, and has a particular fondness for gothic television shows and movies.

Alisha Suman

Alisha is currently a junior at Rowan University doing Psychology major with a Data Science minor. She is interested in going to graduate school in her future related to the healthcare field. In her leisure, Alisha enjoys exploring new places and reading. 

Molique

Molique Wright

Molique is a junior undergraduate working towards a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with minors in Sociology and Human Resource Management. He aspires to continue his education to pursue a career in Clinical Psychology. During his free time, Molique enjoys playing basketball, writing poetry, and doing work within his community.

Nicolas Samson

Nick a Biochemistry major with a Public Health & Wellness minor at Rowan University. He is interested in pursuing medical school, hoping to be a practicing physician one day. Some of Nick’s hobbies include playing sports and hanging out with his friends. A fun fact about Nick is that he has never broken a bone!

Harris

Harris Khan

Harris is pursuing a bachelors of science in biology and a minor in chemistry and neuroscience at Rowan University. As a research assistant in the HABIT Lab, Harris was interested is in aiding patients who suffer from substance use disorders with getting treatment. Harris hopes to attend medical school and become a physician.

Waverly Pross

Waverly graduated from Rowan University pursuing with a B.S. in Psychological Sciences with a minor in Law and Justice. In the future, she plans to continue her education with a Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis and hopes to continue to work in behavior intervention. In her free time, Waverly enjoys reading, especially classic literature. 

Colby

Colby Cleary

Colby graduated from Rowan University with a major in Psychology and a minor in sociology. She plans on becoming a school counselor and receiving her LPC in the future. One fun fact about Colby is that she loves art and is part of a sorority at Rowan University, Delta Phi Epsilon! 

Mary Healy, B.S.

Mary graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology with a minor in Education. She aspires to obtain her PsyD in Clinical Psychology and eventually pursue a career as a mental health counselor. In her free time, Mary likes to play tennis with friends, play guitar, and spend time with family and friends.

Kristin Bassi

Kristin Bassi, B.A.

Kristin graduated with a B.A. in Psychology at Rowan University. She aspires to continue her education at either the Master’s or Doctoral level and pursue a career in Clinical Psychology. Her research interests are substance abuse interventions and addiction science.  In her free time, she likes trying new recipes in the kitchen and spending time with family.

Maeve Donnelly, B.S.

Maeve graduated from Rowan University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychological Sciences and a certificate of undergraduate studies in Community Corrections. She worked as a research assistant in the HABIT Lab with research interests in substance abuse, criminality, and social reform. Outside of the lab, Maeve was a member of the Active Minds club and Leadership Rowan, as well as a volunteer for The SHOP on Rowan’s campus. Maeve is currently in a PhD program in Criminology at Florida Statue University.

Schyler Newman, B.A.

Schyler graduated from Rowan University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Schyler worked in the HABIT lab as a post-bacc for 4 years and was involved with a number of projects. Schyler is currently a PhD student in the Clinical Psychology program at the University of Missouri – St. Louis, in St. Louis, MO.

Michael Onu, B.A.

Michael graduated from Rowan University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology. Michael worked as a post-baccalaureate research assistant in the IDEAS lab with Dr. Tremoulet, as well as the HABIT lab with Dr. Raiff, where he helped to collect and analyze qualitative data about a novel smartphone-based smoking cessation intervention (Re-Connect). His research interests are in health behavior change. Michael participated in the 2022 NIDA Summer Research Internship Program where he worked at Brown University under the mentorship of Dr. Cara Murphy.  He is currently working as a Research Coordinator for the WELL center at Drexel University under the leadership of Dr. Evan Forman.

Seth Gray

Seth is working towards a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with minors in Africana Studies and Education. He aspires to continue his education to purse a career in Clinical Psychology. In his free time, Seth enjoys weight lifting, playing sports, and learning to become a DJ.
